DESCRIPTION: APW - Hamilton, Grade 940 "Extra," 21J, 18S, nickel OF display case with hinged bezels, Montgomery white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, gilt screws and regulator assembly, ornate two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#417045. An attractive example of this scarce watch. This particular serial number is listed in the Hamilton factory ledger as an June 15th, 1905 sale to the Vander Voort Brothers of Buffalo, New York and is one of 80 consecutive serial numbers (417001-417080) from this run which the Vander Voort Brothers purchased between June and September of 1905. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good two-tone color, some typical mild fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with very faint outer chapter hl at 5, scratch and some fine scratches within seconds-register, small patched edge chip under bezel at setting lever, very small patched edge flake under bezel at 7; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystals.
